Today’s Monday motivation for me looks like looking back and remembering where I started. Back to the first time I got to record a demo for a song I wrote with David. Back to this room which was the green room/studio at the first church we led worship at together. Back to when I was living on couches & singing everywhere there was in invitation. Back to when I learned to say YES to the “God things” over the “good things” in my life even when I was scared. Back to late night conversations with David about my dreams, faith, and the drive to do something meaningful with my life that would impact the world for good. Back to total and complete dependency on God to provide for my basic needs. Back to the becoming of who I am today. 💛 I look around at all God has done to place me where I am at this very moment I am writing this and tears well up in my eyes. There’s so many details, so many moments, so many mountains that have crumbled that make today possible. Yet, through all the “becoming” that has happened over the last 7 years, I still feel like this is only the beginning and I have so much more becoming to do and discover. 🌎 My Monday motivation is looking back and resting in the gratitude of today. I know that we’ve only just scratched the surface & there’s always more waiting just beyond the moment we surrender our hearts and plans to our loving Father. His heart for us is so so good, and He loves us into wholeness. He heals us and makes us who we were always meant to be. 👑 Becoming isn’t always easy, but it’s always beautiful. 🌻 “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
